打つ(うつ)	Pound with bat or fist. $$$

撃(うつ)	Fire a gun.

討つ(うつ)	An archaic term for a revenge-attack- the literal meaning is “get some motherfucking payback on”. Almost never used.

(Actually these don’t mean the same thing at all!)
