| 助ける | To save someone – it’s stronger than 手伝う but not as strong as 救う. Like if someone was mugging you you’d yell, 助けて! But if a ninja is trying to kill you, you’d say 救って! You can also use たすける for more minor things like if you’re carrying a pot of hot water and it’s so heavy you are about to drop it. $$$ |
