調子
|
90% of the time, 調子 means ‘condition’ (I’m in bad shape today! Business is in good shape!), but sometimes it is used about one’s tone of voice, so I include it here. In that case, it means the timbre:high or low, healthy or raggedy. Also means pitch, as in, you’re singing flat!

closer to 態度 (attitude):don’t take that tone of voice with me, young lady!!!

喋方

Literally, way of speaking:macho, girlish, strict, street, etc. She’s 40 but still talks baby-talk like a little girl. Uncomfortable.
